MMag. Dr. Ilker Ataç

Dr. Ilker Ataç is currently a post-doctoral research associate at the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna and part of the research group Politics of Inclusion and Exclusion (INEX) as well as founding editor of the journal Movements. In 2011 and 2012 he was a research fellow at the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies, University of California, San Diego and at the Centre for Refugee Studies, York University, Toronto. In 2013-2014 he was a visiting professor in the field of Politics of Labor Migration in the Department of Social Sciences at the University Kassel. From August 2015 until April 2016 he worked as a post-doctoral research associate in the section “Migration & Society” at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS), University of Osnabrück. His research interests are in the area of citizenship studies and migration policies, social movement studies and civil society, Turkish politics.
